Market Research

Just 5 users can help you find your website’s problems. (Source: VitaminT)

We leverage ALL of our Market Research services at different stages in our process when working with our clients at For Users' Sake, but we also offer them individually so businesses can leverage the tools they need. Our rates are structured so businesses of all sizes can benefit from market research. For example, the industry standard is $3-5K for a Focus Group—our packages start from $500. Looking for feedback on an existing website? Want to validate an idea or test a prototype a sample or model product that is built to test a concept or process for viability and feedback? We offer Focus Groups, one-one-one Interviews and Prototype Testing and Surveys—conducted in person or virtually—to help you make important business decisions at a reasonable fee.

Focus Groups

The belief is that 55% of communication is body language, 38% is the tone of voice, and 7% is the actual words spoken. (Dr. Albert Mehrabian)

A great way to find out what people really think is to conduct a Focus Group a diverse group of people participating in a guided discussion about a product of service for the purpose of getting their opinions and feedback to discover your customers' opinions about your branding, messaging, and concepts. We even moderate taste testing! Similar to our Interview service, For Users' Sake conducts focus groups in person and online. The number of participants can range from 5 to 12 depending on your product. In addition to the moderator and support staff recording what participants are actually saying, we also observe body language and tone of voice to further question and probe for insights.

Prototype Testing

It's 100x more expensive to fix a problem in a product that's already been released than it is during the prototyping phase. (Source: Web Usability)

If you have an existing prototype a sample or model product that is built to test a concept or process for viability and feedback or are already working with For Users' Sake on a website or app, we offer in-person and virtual testing. Testing is a great way to get qualitative data that is subjective and non-numerical including text, audio, and visual, used to gather in-depth insights that help to understand concepts, opinions and experiences feedback and to test functionality and user experience before developing a website with code or launching a product. Prototype Testing saves you money—potentially lots of money—in the long run.

Interviews

Only 1% of all consumers feel that their expectations are always met. (NewVoiceMedia)

Having an interview with your customer or a potential user is an excellent way to gain qualitative data that is subjective and non-numerical including text, audio, and visual, used to gather in-depth insights that help to understand concepts, opinions and experiences insights into your business, products and/or services, and your target market. However, being able to ask the right questions and continuously probe into "Why" can be hard, especially if your customer is hesitant to speak frankly. Using an external company to conduct interviews, such as For Users' Sake, can be beneficial. We are impartial and can conduct multiple one-on-one interviews to increase anonymity for honest responses.

Surveys

Only 1 out of 26 unhappy customers complain. The rest churn. (thinkJar)

Surveys are not only a great way to get customer feedback, they can be used to estimate market size and get quantitative data that is objective and numerical, and can be used for statistics information on generalized attitudes, opinions, and behaviours from a sample population. At For Users' Sake we can design, build, and deploy surveys, then analyze the data to help you make important decisions, such as identifying potential markets, creating personas a fictional character based upon research that represents a type of user for a service or product and used to understand users' needs, experiences, behaviours and goals that represent your target audience, and asking your existing clients about how happy they are with your business.

Client's We've Helped

The Entrepreneur Centre recently worked with Kiersten to offer a workshop on survey creation. Kiersten was very knowledgeable in this area and how to get the best feedback from survey participants. Her presentation style was very engaging and included real life examples to better illustrate her point. Kiersten also worked with us to make sure participants got the most information they could out of the session. Thanks again!
